Space maintainers Parental Guideline For Preventing Tooth decay Encourage and adapt your kids for the habits As early as possible: Brushing twice a day– morning and evening Do not leave them to sleep with the milk bottle Use a toothpaste with optimum amount of fluoride Avoid sugars and sugary foods for kids Encourage them for eating of fruits, vegetables, no sweetened yogurt Feed them with calcium containing food such as milk, cheese Educate your kids about dental carries and importance of oral hygiene Do’s and Don’ts Your child’s dental visit to Dr. Nilawar dental clinic will be made much easier, just follow the instruction: Do’s When you about take your kid to the dentist, tell them that you are visiting a friend or uncle or aunty, who is also a dentist who love kids and we will just check the teeth. Tell your kids, that regular dental checkup will protect the teeth. If possible, both mom and dad should accompany the child on the first visit. Allow adequate time for our dentist to talk with your kid, which help in gaining their confidence and are more cooperative during their treatment. Bring your child’s entire medical records for our assessment. Don’ts Do not mention about pain, blood, injection during their visit. Do not mislead your kid about the treatment time, simply say you don’t know. Do not threaten your child by saying anything bad about dentist which results in dental anxiety or phobia for them. Make your child comfortable and then you can request for the treatment. Avoid dental visits during your kid's naptimes or when they are tired. Do not bribe your kid with a gift before the appointment.
